Three polls: longer-term goal setting for your MTB skill development
My goal is to get you thinking about goals
I’m working on a post about the science of longer-term goal setting for MTB skills development. When you want to get better, how can goal-setting help? What strategies are ineffective?
I’m curious about your experience setting MTB-related goals and whether you plan to do more in the coming weeks/months/year.
I’ve created three quick polls for you to take below, designed to get you thinking about goal-setting.
After you take the polls, add a comment that gives context for your answers. Doing that might help clarify your thinking, and it might help inform me as I work on the upcoming post.

My recent 'goals' have just been to ride more, either due to recovering from injury or to try and build my general fitness. I used to set more specific goals in the early days of RLC (eg learn to wheelie) but got disillusioned by failures to gain the desired skill.
